Tired

Finally, here is a personal note, after all the socio-political commentaries and attempts to delude myself into thinking that I am an intellectual individual. Heh.

I am still spending time to reflect upon the Section 377A debate, and how we should move on from there. It is a tough question to tackle, and as S has said on his blog, it is no longer a matter of rights and wrongs, but strategy and approach. I don't have a magical solution for it, but I am going to be campy and flamboyant with the gay boys this weekend. The ability to laugh at blatant hate speech and discrimination is priceless.

I am tired, yes, but just physically tired because I have been sleeping very little. It's a bit like trying to squeeze more time out to do my own things, to catch up on reading and writing (especially articles for the youth column in zaobao sunday), hang out with the girls, and to do something about the music I love. The other day, I sat in front of my keyboard and started playing the song 安静, without looking at any score. When the notes began to flow out of my fingertips, the feeling was... therapeutic. It is amazing that I still remember the songs I use to play, since I haven't been practising for a long time. I am thinking of investing in a 88-key digital piano. Ah.

It gets a bit exasperating when everyone tries so hard to find out whether I am interested in anyone. Yes attractions are aplenty, but I don't have to act on them. In fact I have been single for so long (for everyday since I was born in fact), that it felt a bit scary to have someone in my life.

I am enjoying every moment of my singlehood... while it lasts. Heh.
